What HIFU stands for is High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound. Through a special cartridge that is softly placed onto your skin, it delivers focused ultrasound waves deep into the skin without damaging the surface. The natural process of neocollagenesis is then stimulated by warming the target area. This process speeds up the production of new collagen, this is a protein that provides structure to the skin. Higher levels of collagen mean your skin becomes firmer, younger-looking and wrinkle-free. To deliver this treatment we use a machine called the Focus Dual, it is a multi-platform device that offers a gold standard non-surgical skin lifting, firming and skin tightening treatments. As well as addressing wrinkles, excess fat, pigmentation, fine lines and much more. The machine combines high intensity focused ultrasound and radiofrequency microneedles to target the skin on all layers.
